 "InterFaith - Run for a United World" - Project description


Short chronology

2006  First ecumenical prayer for all runners of the ING
         Marathon Luxembourg ("Geistlicher
         Startschuss")

2007  Foundation of "Priests United" and first
         ecumenical peace run of Christian
         ordained ministers under the patronage of
         Dr.Margot Käßmann and the Prime Minister of
         Luxembourg, Jean-Claude Juncker. Philipp Groll
         sets the still valid half marathon record (1:29).

2008  "Priests United" becomes "InterFaith - Marathon for a
         United World" and therefore interreligious under the  
         patronage of the Dalai Lama. Start of the cooperation
         with the Global Ethic Foundation.
         First participation of the running legend Fauja Singh
         (97 years).
 
2013  First participation of Buddhists from Japan

2014  First particupation of an InterFaith group in the Kyoto
         Marathon (InterFaith Kyoto)

2016  First participation of the InterFaith Community
         Sanctuary from Seattle/USA
